Nice to virtually meet you! I may be the heart behind this little company of mine, but it's helping people
like you find joy that fuels me.
You see, I went through some trauma about 6 years ago that still casts a dreary sky over all areas of my life, and I continually battle the resulting mental health challenges. These trials brought my craving
for joy and celebration to life. Through the hardship
of overcoming and succumbing to the darkness,
Wolf + Bloom was born.
If you'll come with me, I'll share with you what destroyed me and ultimately put me back together again, further down the page. But for now, here's a snapshot of the people and things that keep me going!
I can't wait to help you discover the kind
of joy that awaits you.

Vintage silver platters, vibrant oil canvases, and vast oak armoires fill my earliest memories of my grandparents' antique gift shop. I can still smell the soft scents of the soaps, candles, and incense covering one wall. At nine years old, instead of playing with Barbies or watching Saturday morning cartoons, I worked with my grandmother to artfully style shelves tumbling over with greenery and glass jars and arrange Instagram-worthy displays before social media was even a thing. As I grew older I curated decor collections, which nurtured my passion for designing spaces.
That obsession naturally led to beginning a degree in graphic design, which further developed my love for the physical aspect of crafting with paper, ink, paint, and even clay, in addition to my experience with the digital world. From there, I dabbled in freelance as I designed wedding invitations, marketing materials, and stationery. But all of this work for other people's businesses and passions planted a longing in me to create for myself, to pursue my own dreams. So there, sitting at my unfinished DIY table with its wobbly legs in my creaky old kitchen, the idea for Wolf + Bloom was born.
But the realization of that goal hit several major roadblocks before it came to be. Right after Thanksgiving in 2013, I experienced the loss of someone very close to me. From there, my life slowly spiraled out of control, as I experienced health issues, a split with my community, weight gain, a breakup, and ultimately the development of severe depression and anxiety. At that point, I completely lost touch with everything that made me who I was, and thus watched my dream drift out of reach.
In the trenches of depression, I quickly learned that I couldn't control my happiness, but I could find little ways to add joy into my days that helped make daily tasks less daunting. From patterned straws to keep me hydrated, to floral notepads tracking to do's, to an inspirational tumbler that helped me leave the house, I found that ordinary items transformed overwhelming responsibilities. Finally, I felt empowered to seek the help I needed instead of continuing life in isolation.
Along with support from my doctor and therapist, I entered recovery for what I believed to be the root of my struggles. In the context of the most authentic community I've ever experienced, I began to heal and rediscover my passion and purpose. About two months into this journey, my vision for Wolf + Bloom started to expand and transform. As I began to design the same kind of products that rescued me, I also honed a new sense of self.
Now I strive to be so much more than just a celebration product designer. Through simple offerings like stationery, wine charms, and tumblers, I hope to help people spark a bit of joy in the midst of any season. I also seek to inspire others in cultivating their own cozy environments with decor in order to encourage connection with community. Finally, I aspire to be a mental health advocate through fostering a lifestyle of self care so we can better love ourselves and each other. I believe that joy is just on the other side of a few good decisions. Will you come choose joy with me?
